Ask a 12 year old girl about what movies she likes, what books she’s been reading, what guy she thinks is cute. The answer will probably be the same for all of those questions. She’ll probably tell you something like “Oh My God!  Twilight is so awesome, Edward is soooo hot. Oh my god I’ll faint when New Moon comes out!” throw in a couple more Oh my gods and that’s pretty much it.

It’s movies like these where they choose the actors more based on their looks and abilities to glue drooling girls to the screen. Movies that I simply don’t think are worth it. It all makes me think what women find so attractive in these vampire characters. It’s like I often hear women saying how they would love to have a homosexual friend to go shopping with and who would tell them if they look fat in a certain dress. Women love vampires because they’re harmless, or at least appear to be when you forget the whole “suck human blood to stay alive” thing. And in the movies these vampires avoid women almost completely. Sure the Hot-vegetarian-vampire-that-shines-in-sunlight has something going on with the main vulnerable-young-schoolgirl-with-an-attitude. but nothing funny, his vampire senses could get a-tingling and that spells disaster for the young lady. So young girls see this boy as the unreachable greatness. they see him but have to live with him not being interested.

Christopher Heyerdahl in the role of Marcus

One of the actors in the latest installment of the series entitled ” New Moon”(which is in theaters since last friday if you have nothing to do) Is veteran thespian Christopher Heyerdahl. known for his roles in “Are you Afraid Of The Dark?” and also as Zor-el in Smallville. He was chosen for the role almost immediately, without auditioning for the role at all. What I find funny is that this Middle aged giant (six feet,four inches) plays in a movie full of young, beautiful and inexperienced actors, most of them playing vampires. There is something about these vampires that women find interesting. As if women aren’t scared of these monsters that suck blood, but that won’t ever get close to their private quarters. They fear the everyday man’s penis for god knows what reason. and they see comfort in these vampires who could care less for sex. There’s an asexual 3000 your old monster for all ages in this movie
